The MICA Group's vision strongly affirms that all peoples contribute to the diversity, richness and sustainability of civilizations, cultures and humanity. We envision a world where indigenous and minority cultures have a voice, equitable resources and the capacity to realize their potential, reach for their dreams, and to flourish -- where indigenous knowledge systems are recognized as inherently valuable world resources. In this context, we come together in a united vision of a world that is just and honors the dignity of each human being. With our vision at the forefront of our work, the MICA Group is becoming a high performing and responsive multicultural intermediary with a distinctive mission that is two- fold: 1) To assist communities and their partners in building social and economic capital and systems of change through innovative, sustainable and culturally appropriate strategies; and 2) To educate the larger community about the importance of honoring cultural diversity and indigenous ways of knowing in order to create a just, humane and sustainable world.
