Description
The Marin Community Foundation created the Thriving Families Network (TFN) in 2000. Originally named the Families Made Whole Initiative, the TFN's purpose is to support the provision of services and opportunities to assist families to thrive economically, socially, and emotionally while assisting Marin service provision agencies to align their work and objectives toward a positive and thriving community of all Marin residents. The TFN has a support structure that acts a mechanism for initiative coordination, evaluation, and the delivery of technical assistance to participating agencies. TFN grew from a documented need to focus on supports that could help low-income families achieve long-term self-sufficiency and understand the systemic linkages that are at the core of the problems these families face at both the family and neighborhood level.
