Improving California Health One Clinic at a Time

The Center for Care Initiatives has established itself as a skilled intermediary that has partnered with a variety of other funders including the California HealthCare Foundation, the Blue Shield of California Foundation and Kaiser Permanente.

Its work has helped position California clinics as national leaders in the adoption of advanced health information technology and enhanced their ability to plan and successfully manage capital expansion projects.

CCI is currently helping clinics and other safety net providers capitalize on the opportunities presented by the Affordable Care Act, including partnering with community organizations to advance prevention and pursuing innovations in practice to create Health Homes for traditionally underserved consumers.

The Center for Care Initiatives leverages the full array of Tides infrastructure services as a fiscally sponsored project, a donor advised fund and a tenant in the Tides Thoreau Center.
