After seeing the success of the collaboration, Recalde and Torres started GreenSpace, a private real estate development and fund management firm with significant nonprofit ownership stake.  Their vision is a fund that can provide a triple bottom line -- financial, environmental, and social benefit returns—while also supporting the creation of green nonprofit centers nationwide.  This innovative funding strategy provides a new source of financing to these much needed, but capital-intensive buildings.
