International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC)/HIV Collaborative

Empowering Those Fighting with HIV/AIDS

Through a Tides donor-advised fund and fiscally sponsored project, the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC) provides grants to community-based organizations for HIV treatment projects as well as support for regional networks to share information, implement collaborative strategies, and provide technical assistance to grantees.    

With support from dozens of private foundations, government funders and corporations the ITPC Fund has granted more than $9 million in small grants since 2004 to support approximately 700 HIV treatment education and advocacy projects in nearly 70 countries.    

Just as important, the ITPC Fund represents another first for a global coalition of people living with AIDS: a funding mechanism directly set by those it impacts; empowering those living with HIV/AIDS to determine their own funding priorities and implement their own region-specific strategies.
