Creating Affordable and Green Space for Nonprofits Quickly

To accomplish this, the Sierra Health Foundation’s CEO turned to Tides, a leader in nonprofit centers, to create a strategy and floor design to best transform the space so it would not only be desirable to nonprofit tenants, but also foster shared knowledge and experience as well as innovative and creative approaches to serving clients.  Tides consultants conducted a needs assessment process and provided consulting services on creating a green nonprofit center that saved the foundation valuable time and money.

With Tides expertise, the foundation’s new Nonprofit Innovation Center opened quickly.  In just under a year, 10 semi-custom suites, a shared workroom and four shared meeting rooms were built out to house nonprofits which share technology, office supplies and a front office receptionist.  Today, the Nonprofit Innovation Center is a model facility, promoting cross-agency learning, engagement and resource sharing at an affordable price, and allowing its 18 tenant organizations to focus on their shared work toward a more healthy Northern California.
