Driving Directions

Driving from SFO (San Francisco International Airport) or South San Francisco
From Highway 101 Northbound take Highway 380 West to Highway 280 North toward San Francisco. Follow the signs to Golden Gate Bridge — 19th Avenue — Park Presidio. After passing through Golden Gate Park, take a right on California St. Take a left onto Presidio Blvd. Enter the Presidio through the Presidio Gate and follow the directions listed below.

Driving from East Bay, Bay Bridge or Downtown San Francisco
Take the Fremont St. exit (the first exit off the Bay Bridge). This exit will direct you onto Fremont St. Continue through downtown San Francisco – cross Market St. and then make an immediate left turn onto Pine St. Continue roughly two miles on Pine St. As you arrive at the top of a large hill, turn right on Presidio Blvd. Continue straight, enter the Presidio through the Presidio Gate and follow the directions listed below.

From the Presidio Gate
Enter The Presidio on Presidio Blvd. After proceeding down the hill, Presidio Blvd will merge into Lincoln Blvd. At the second stop sign, turn right onto Girard Rd. At the next stop sign, turn right onto Edie Rd. A short block down Edie Rd, there will be a large parking lot on your right hand side, pull in here. There are parking pay-stations available where you can purchase a permit to display on your dashboard.  If the back parking lot is full, there is additional parking located around the front of Tides Converge.

To enter Tides Offices from the back parking lot on Edie Road
When facing Tides Converge buildings from the back parking lot, there are two doors in the corner on the left hand side, up a small set of stairs, that lead into the café area. Walk past the Café (to the left), down the hall through double glass doors, into the Seed Gallery, and take the first  right into Building 1012 where the Lobby Reception Desk is located.

From the Golden Gate Bridge and points north of San Francisco
Take US 101 South over the Golden Gate Bridge. After the toll plaza, proceed straight through the tunnel on US 101 South. In tunnel, stay to right and take Presidio/Girard Rd. Exit 437. At end of Exit ramp, turn right at stoplight. At stop sign turn left onto Edie Rd. Half way down Edie Rd, there will be a large parking lot on your right hand side. There are parking pay-stations available where you can purchase a permit to display on your dashboard for ($10.00/day).  If the back parking lot is full, there is additional parking located around the front of Tides Converge.

From the Lombard Gate
Proceed straight on Lombard St. into the Presidio. At the second stop sign, turn right onto Lincoln Blvd. At the next stop sign on Lincoln Blvd, turn right onto Girard Rd. At the stop sign, turn right onto Edie Rd. A short block down Edie Rd, there will be a large parking lot on your right hand side, pull in here. There are parking pay-stations available where you can purchase a permit to display on your dashboard for ($8.00/day).  If the back parking lot is full, there is additional parking located around the front of Tides Converge.

To enter Tides Offices from the back parking lot on Edie Road
When facing Tides Converge building from the back parking lot, there are two doors in the left hand side corner, up a small set of stairs, that lead to the Café area. Walk past the café (to the left), down the hall through double glass doors into the Seed Gallery, and take the first  right into Building 1012 where the Lobby Reception Desk is located.

 

Public Transportation & Bicycle

From Embarcadero BART or the Transbay Terminal
Take the PresidioGo free shuttle service for people who work or live in the Presidio. It runs clean-fuel buses between downtown San Francisco and the Presidio every 15-30 minutes each weekday. Downtown stops include Embarcadero BART and the Transbay Terminal. Click here for more information and the schedule.

By MUNI
The Presidio is also accessible by MUNI bus routes 41, 45 and 30 (from downtown SF/Market Street), 28, 29 and 43 (from other points in the city). Only the 29 and 43 serve Tides Converge directly; others require a five minute walk from near the Lombard Gate. From the North Bay, several Golden Gate Transit buses also stop near the Lombard Gate. By Bicycle
For the best route, check the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition’s SF Bike Map & Walking Guide. From the East Bay, you can board the Oakland/Alameda Ferry (510.522.3300) with your bike and ride from the Ferry Building, or you can bring your bike onto BART during non-commute hours. Frorn the North Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge is open to bikers at all times – access is via Bridgeway from Sausalito.
