Pacific Room

The largest of our available rooms (20×40 sq. ft.), the Pacific Room features three walls of windows with 270° views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Presidio’s greenery. Artwork from local nonprofit arts programs decorate the walls, creating the perfect space for large board meetings, speaker engagements, facilitated sessions, and project planning sessions. Capacity based on room set-up: Board: 20, Theater: 60,

Atlantic Room

The Atlantic Room (24×16 sq. ft.), the second largest conference room available, features a wall of large windows and a mounted white board. Suited for smaller board meetings or staff retreats. Capacity based on room set-up: Board: 14, Theater: 25, Circle: 25, Standing: 25

Tide Pool Lounge & Courtyard

Bright, airy space (32×26 sq. ft.) sporting easily-movable modern furniture with adjoining courtyard (complete with market lights strung between the trees) is perfect for happy hours, networking events, or weekend retreats. Large windows and an exterior door connect the indoor and outdoors spaces.

Galleries & Courtyard

The galleries at Thoreau Center are made up of long historic corridors connecting several of the buildings. Rows of windows flood the space with natural light and provide views of the Golden Gate Bridge. The galleries include a café and two art galleries. The space can be reconfigured to serve several uses, such as break out spaces, speaker events, fundraisers, and performance space. Capacity: Up to 200, depending on configuration and event.

Golden Gate Room

A cozy meeting room (16×16 sq. ft.) with plenty of natural light and well-suited for small meetings of up to 8 guests, or as a break-out room for group work during larger convenings.
