Accountant, Fiscally Sponsored Projects

Accountants are responsible for a variety of accounting duties while maintaining accurate financials for all Tides projects. These include: 

• Providing exceptional, partner-centric client service to internal staff and external clients.  
• Reviewing and approving disbursements and monitoring project cash flow to ensure compliance with funder regulations and Tides cash management policies. 
• Maintaining operational policies and practices that facilitate efficient operation and financial management of the organization. 
• Preparing accounts receivable invoices and entries for reimbursable government grants. 
• Preparing journal entries for reclasses and reconcilement. 
• Preparing monthly reconciliations of project balance sheet accounts. 
• Analyzing activity and ensuring accuracy of allocations of funds to appropriate funding sources. 
• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external clients. 
• Preparing documentation for annual and other external audits/tax filings. 
• Providing back-up coverage to Senior Accountants on Fiscally Sponsored Projects team.  
• Other projects, as assigned.
