Investment Options

Tides provides donors with the option of opening an invested Collective Action Fund, which permits fund advisors to recommend that Fund assets be invested in Tides mission-aligned investment allocations. Funding, Fundraising, and Expenses

Please note that the minimum initial total contribution for a Collective Action Fund is $100,000.

Contribution transmittal instructions will be provided once the fund is approved.

Expenses

In certain situations, Tides Foundation will enter into contracts with third party vendors, contractors, or consultants that provide services directly related to the fund's grantmaking activity, with the costs of those contracts allocated to the fund. Do you anticipate requesting these types of contracts?

Governance

The Independent Advisory Committee of the Fund (the “IAC”) is responsible for reviewing and recommending disbursements from the Fund. The IAC is expected to meet periodically, whether in person or by conference call, to review Fund activity, including the status of any required grant reports and proposals for future funding, as well as to discuss strategic priorities and anticipated fundraising.
